Bradley is concentrating on Bannsiders

Derry manager Brian McIver last week ruled out any possibility of Bradley playing both codes when the GAA county season resumes in January.

But the Glenullin man committed his immediate future to the Bannsiders missing the McKenna Cup, which is seen as a warm-up event during which county managers experiment before the League campaign.

“I am concentrating on Coleraine and I am enjoying it,” said Bradley, who admitted he had still to decide between playing for Coleraine or switching to Gaelic when the league starts in February.

“I’ll not be playing in the McKenna Cup anyway, as far as the National League goes we’ll wait and see nearer the time.

“When the time comes I’ll give it serious consideration but at the minute I’m really enjoying what I’m doing.

“I always said I would see how it was going but I’m actually enjoying it a bit more than I thought I would.

“I have spoken to Brian about it and I suppose when National League time comes he will be looking for me to play the Gaelic.

“Coleraine manager Oran Kearney has given me a bit of leeway. I was wanting to play both, but Brian doesn’t see it that way. So I will just play it by ear and see what happens, but I can see where Brian is coming from. It’s not ideal me playing soccer as well, but I didn’t actually think I’d be getting on as well as I am.

“I am enjoying playing for Coleraine and everyone at the club has made me welcome. I will not really know what I am going to do until January or February.

“I will chat is over with my family and decide in the next week or so. At the minute though soccer is my first priority.”

Oran Kearney says he won’t be placing any demands on Bradley and will instead allow him to make his own decision, but he is hoping that his player’s current form will encourage him to stay at the Showgrounds.

“There will be no mind-games or skulduggery from our end. Eoin is welcome to stay with us and see out his contract until the end of the season,” said Kearney.“At the same time if he comes to me and says that he wants to go back to GAA then he will go with our blessing.”
