Break for Wee Whites

It was the last round of games before the Belfast IFA GDP took a winter break and first up was Lisburn Distillery U-10’s and St. Mary’s. It was period two before the game sparked into life and the source of the first goal was no surprise, Jake Donaghy and Conall Cunningham linked up beautifully and when Conall’s cross came into the box Ross White was there to poke the ball home. Conall then fired home the second from distance with a great left foot shot.

Calum played a huge role in the third goal when his cross field pass forced the back peddling defender to turn the ball into his own net. Next up was the U-10 Whites and Celtic Boys, the Wee Whites started slowly and it wasn’t long before Celtic took the lead. Xander Power was magnificent throughout in the Distillery goal. The Wee Whites then started to find their feet and Jack Bonar’s pace was causing plenty of problems and he was unlucky to see a snapshot hit the side netting.

A great first half of the season for both teams, the Whites have progressed throughout the season and have put in some super displays of passing football. The coaching staff would just like to say a big thank-you to all the friends and family who have supported the boys throughout the first part of the season.

Training and friendly games will keep the boys on their toes before the GDP recommences after the winter break.
