Carniny bid farewell to club stalwart Gerard

Carniny Amateurs said farewell recently to a loyal servant of the club who is leaving the country to advance a new career in England.

Gerard O’Mullan is a loyal and respected member of the club having played with the Ballymena ‘reds’ since he was a young boy.

Club Chairman, Anthony McCartney spoke highly of Gerard describing him as a model sportsman and a role model for any young footballer.

Club Secretary Billy O’Flaherty also added to the accolades saying that not only was he a loyal member of the club but had the rare qualities of both an abundance of top class ability and attitude.
