Carniny Rangers looking for new manager

CARNINY Rangers are on the lookout for a new manager following the resignation of Robert Young.

Young, one of the most successful managers in the history of the Ballymena Saturday Morning League, stepped down earlier this month after 10 years in charge.

During that decade, Young led Carniny to an unprecedented run of success locally, and also turned Carniny into one of the most respected junior teams in the Province.

“Robert gave Carniny Rangers 25 years of outstanding service, 15 as a player and 10 as manager and the club would like to put on record its appreciation for all his hard work and dilligence within that time,” said club secretary Alistair Wright.

Since Young’s departure, Henry Spence and senior player Johnny Doak have taken temporary charge of the team on a short-term basis.
