Carniny sides make midweek progress

IT was a relatively good mid week for Carniny with only one loss from five matches.

The U10s did their title aspirations no harm when they comfortably won a six pointer against Bloomfield 8-1, the 12s got back on track as they travelled to Ards to win 5-2, the 13s won their local derby with a 2-1 win over Ballymena YA, and the 16s overturned their cup loss to SOPFC by beating them in the league 2-0, the U17s suffered a slight set back in their title challenge with a 1-1 draw with Bloomfield and the 14s suffered a loss against Ards, having knocked the North Down side out of the cup the previous Saturday.

A Zach Barr hat-trick for the under 15s and a brace apiece from Gordon Dillon and Eamon Fyffe from the under 17s and 12s respectively helped earn their sides maximum points in a tough weekend of fixtures as the season comes to a conclusion.
