Carniny’s Jason on IFA coaching trip to Portugal

CARNINY Youth Under 11 coach Jason Hunter prepares for a trip to Portugal this weekend, not on holiday but as a result of being invited to travel as part of an IFA Coaching trip.

Jason who has achieved an IFA ‘C’ certificate, with support from Carniny, recently added another coaching qualification this summer when he was one of the first coaches to undertake his IFA Youth certificate licence, aimed specifically at coaching players under the age of 16.

Subsequently Jason was lucky to receive an invite to travel to Portugal to see how some of the teams in the country implement their training plans in their respective academies with the highlight of the trip a visit to Benfica.

The week long trip will include escorted visits to Quarteirnse, Farense, Louletano and Internacional Almancil to observe their training academies and matches.

This is an excellent opportunity for Jason to broaden his coaching knowledge and gain an insight into the various training methods used in Europe.
