Five minutes before the break, Carnmoney doubled their lead when a Jason McCone corner was flicked on by Scott Wilson for Lewis Barr to volley in his team’s second.

The boys from Carnmoney faced a sterner test in the second half, and the arrears were reduced as goalkeeper Ben Nicholl was beaten by a lob.

McCone curled in an effort from the edge of the box to give Carnmoney a two-goal cushion once again.

There was a nervy finish to the game as the Mallards grabbed a late goal, but Carnmoney held on to win 3-2.
