Carrick confirm McConnell signing

Carrick Rangers have today confirmed the signing of Nathan McConnell until the end of the season.

The move sees the striker return to Taylor’s Avenue for a second spell, having previously played under double-winning manager Stephen Small. The 30-year-old has had stints with The Welders and Ards in between.

McConnell becomes Michael Hughes’ fifth signing of the January transfer window following deals for Sean Friars, Anto Lagan, Dean Carlyle and Lee Colligan.

Carrick haven’t won a league match since September and occupy 11th spot in Championship One. They are set to play a friendly against Rosario YC tomorrow (January 26) at the Taylor’s Avenue 3G. (12:15pm kick-off).
