With the scores level ten minutes into the second half the Mallards found the net three times in as many minutes to leave the hosts reeling.

“It was minutes of madness,” said Currie. “We have a guy who is five foot six scoring two headed goals, that’s unacceptable from our end.

“We had been well in control of the game and had by far all the best chances right up to their first goal.

“What disappointed me was our reaction. We lost our discipline and went Gung-Ho when there was 30 minutes to play and only one goal in it.

“We have to learn and learn quickly that it is not a panic situation.

“We lost all shape and they continually hit us on the break when we left ourselves wide open.”

Currie will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways when they travel to Dergview on Saturday after last week’s missed opportunity.

“The boys have come together really well and this was a missed opportunity to go joint third after our poor start to the season,” he said.

“I have belief in these lads and I expect us to learn from this

“We know how difficult it is to get a result at Dergview, and with them having a new manager it’s going to be a difficult day.

“But if we get our heads on it again and we have Stewart Nixon and Craig McMillan back available it’s a game we can win.”
