Roy, whose first spell at his hometown club began in 2014 with a loan which later became permanent, returns to Taylor's Avenue after stints at Dundela and Portadown.

Gees boss David McAlinden told the club's website: "Ben is a local lad who has been at the club before and the thing that impressed me about him was that after leaving Portadown he gave me a real sense that he wanted to come back to the club.

"He feels that he has unfinished business with and he came with a really refreshing attitude which made him easy to deal with. He will add a slightly different dynamic to what we already had so it was a no-brainer to get him involved and bring him on board.”

Also putting pen to paper with the East Antrim outfit is 19-year-old goalkeeper Sean Fogarty who has experience with Dublin-based Home Farm, as well as Bray Wanderers.
