Causeway Colts beat the weather and Institute as they hit them for ten

It was a great day for the Causeway Colts on Saturday as they hit ten against Institute.

The Colts kicked off against Institute and flew out of the blocks scoring in the second minute when Jake Wilson’s shot was parried by the keeper to Brandon Warke who slotted home the rebound.

The lead was doubled in the fifth minute when Brandon Warke scored his second after good work from Keelin Gaile on the left he cut inside and fired into the roof of the net. Brandon completed his hat trick after racing onto a good ball from Rhys Ewings, he powered away from the defence and a great finish across the keeper made it 3-0. Jake Wilson scored the fourth rounding the keeper in the next attack with Brandon Warke turning provider.

The Colts were playing good football in spite of the heavy rain and went further ahead when Ewan McFall put Brandon Warke through to make it 5-0. A great cross from Rhys Ewings on the right wing saw Johnny Mairs head narrowly wide. They combined a minute later with Johnny Mairs hitting the bar this time. A classy backheel from Jake Wilson set up Joe McClements who finished superbly. Another quality cross from Rhys Ewings was flicked on by Brandon Warke to Johnny Mairs who headed home for 7-0.

The second half got off to a flying start when Keelin Gaile found Brandon Warke on the left who broke into the box and drew the keeper then unselfishly squared for his strike partner Jake Wilson to tap home. The heavy rain kept coming and so did the Colts attacks increasing the lead to 9-0 when Brandon Warke. The Colts rounded off a superb performance when the unplayable Brandon Warke who made it 10-0 for the Colts and six for himself.
