Plans for the big celebration are well underway and the club are hoping many of the former players who have helped put the club on the domestic football map will attend the gala occasion.

The dinner will be held in the Seagoe hotel on October 19, tickets are priced at £30 for single or £50 for double. On the evening there will be a four course meal, live music and entertainment. A short presentation of awards will also be held.

Tickets can be purchased from Phil McKinley in the club house (07753 935078) or from Stuart Gordon at The Beautiful Game (07921001827).

Founder member Brian Gordon has appealed for all past and present players and managers to come together to celebrate with the club on this very special birthday, “It would be great to see the hall packed for our 25 years. Lurgan Town has been an integral part of both sides of the community and we would love to see everyone coming back together to recognise this,” Brian.

The club have already started the celebrations with a Community Festival of Football and a Community Cup being held during pre-season.

Also on the cards are a Christmas Draw (contact Keith Lutton 07702 736675 for tickets) and a former players 9-a-side tournament is planned.

Any former players wishing to help the club mark this landmark year are urged to get in touch as soon as possible to assist with the organisation and planning of numbers for the big night.
