Duo in but Lafferty left out
DUO Paddy McCourt and Shane Ferguson are in Northern Ireland’s squad for next month’s World Cup qualifying double header against Russia and Luxembourg.
However ex-Derry City man Danny Lafferty has been left out of Michael O’Neill’s 23 man squad, another man missing out is striker David Healy, who incidentally scored on his debut for his new club Bury at the weekend.
Northern Ireland face Fabio Capello’s Russia side on Friday, September 7, before hosting Luxembourg on Tuesday, September 11.
