Efforts from McCourt, Lavery and Gilmore were all saved by the excellent Lurgan United keeper.

The second half began in the same fashion with Celtic on the ball and pushing for the opener.

With 55 minutes played the first goal duly arrived when a neat pass inside the defender to the hard working Stevie McConville saw him lift the ball over the advancing keeper.

Dwyer Lavery, cut in from the right on to his favoured left and he placed one inside the keepers left hand post to give the Club a 2-0 lead.

It was hard to see a way back for United but they battled on, although the Celtic Club scored another two goals, with McCourt and Lavery again finding the net.

A superb performance from man of the match Gary Gilmore, just piping Lavery, who worked tirelessly all day and put in yet another great shift.

This week the Celtic Club are away to league leaders Keady Celtic in what should be a terrific match with both teams having all to play for.

Committed performances will be needed as the Club attempt to move into a promotional position in the Mid Ulster League.
