Clonduff seal Div One league title

Clonduff are champions

Clonduff YM clinched the South Antrim League title with a 2-0 win over main challengers, South Antrim.

Trevor Smyth and top scorer, Jonny Bowes got the goals which take Clonduff into the Premier Division at their first attempt. They are currently unbeaten.

In the other game First Lisburn eased past Belvoir FC II 5-1 with goals from Paul Chittick 2, Jamie Mudge, Chris Weir and Sam Clarke.

PREMIER DIVISION

‘Cash slip up

Ballymacash YM had to come back from two goals down to get a 2-2 draw with Sandy Row and the two dropped points are a blow to their title hopes. Sandy Row’s scorers were James Willis and Ryan Hinds.

Warren YM were 7-0 winners over Lambeg Rangers thanks to Ryan Graham 3, Neil Donaghy 2, Aaron Coulter and George Railneau.

Keith McCracken and Philip Biggerstaff scored for Ballynafeigh YM, but they still lost 3-2 to Bloomfield III.

Glaston won 4-2 away to Braniel YM. Their goals came from Paddy Macklin, Conor Hughes, Eamon Matthews and Jim Mullan.

DIVISION two

Braniel stay on course

Braniel YM II stayed on course for the Division 2 title with a 7-0 win over Warren YM II. Goals from Nathan Warnock 3, William Sanson 2, Lewis Irwin and Stephen Murphy.

Lisburn Athletic were 6-2 winners against Glenavy III. Scorers for Athletic were Stephen McDonagh 3, Dale Worsfold, Lee Chapman and Matty McClements.

OTHER MATCHES

Belvoir set up Bloomfield tie

Belvoir FC set up a second round Gordon Hanna Trophy tie with Bloomfield III by beating Orangefield OB III 5-1.

Glaston were 8-2 winners in the Supplementary Cup over Belvoir FC.

In the Supplementary Plate. Clarawood YM put nine goals past Moira Albion II without reply and FC Utd Lisburn did even better with an 11-0 win over Victoria Athletic.

FC Utd Lisburn II beat Ballymacash YM III 2-1 in the Division 2 Cup..
