“Rodney is very highly rated in the local game and I know a lot of clubs were keen to snap him up,” said Kearney.

“So I’m delighted to bring him to Coleraine, he is someone who I have monitored for a number of seasons and I almost brought him here on loan last year.

“He is a very exciting player, who has scored goals throughout his career.

“Rodney has been knocking on the door of the first team at Windsor Park for a couple of seasons, but he became frustrated not to be given his opportunity.

“He’s at the stage now were he wants to be playing regularly and he was impressed with how our young players have been given a chance and how they have developed.

“When I met him to discuss the move it was the most football related chat I’ve ever had with a player.

“He is hungry to prove his worth and show what he is capable of here at Coleraine.”

Brown has signed a two-year contract and will wear the number 11 shirt.
