The Bannsiders showed their intent in the first minute when Jake Wallace was on hand to tap home the rebound after the Roe Valley keeper had tipped Oisin OʼMullanʼs free kick onto the bar. Three minutes later Oisin was again provider setting up Patrick Kelly for the first goal of yet another hat-trick.

Mark Lowry was bossing the right midfield and he expertly controlled a high Roe Valley clearance bringing the ball down before unleashing a shot home from long range. Similarly on the left side Joshua Campbell did not stop running and he was rewarded with a goal after a drag back that would have graced a Champions League game.

Oisin OʼMullan finally got the hat-trick heʼs been threatening to bag all season with three sublime finishes including a lob over the keeper, a blistering volley and a strike from distance.

Mark Lowry counted with another great finish after being set up by the tireless Pierce Quigley and Lewis Dallas completed the scoring with the last touch of the ball. After badgering the coaches for five minutes to put him on at centre forward he rose to get a head on Oisinʼs free kick. Lewis deserved his goal after superbly directing the defence of Ryan Canning, Pierce Quigley and Daniel Forsythe.

Once again Curtis Hanson tortured the Roe Valley defence and assisted in several goals without getting on the scoresheet. Surely only a matter of time before the wee man gets his reward.

Stand-in keeper James Hourican had the kind of quiet game which challenges the concentration but he did everything he had to do superbly.

So, the Coleraine lads sent their supporters home with a spring in the step which will take their minds off the sun stroke!

Man of the Match: Lewis Dallas.

Elsewhere the Under-12s saw off Warrenpoint 6-3 in an exciting match in Cookstown. The under-12 Olympic side also hit six as they beat Bertie Pacock Youths. Dan Brown scored a first half hat-trick to put the Bannsiders in control, but credit to Bertie’s they never lay down and pulled back a couple of goals back. At Ballysally the U9s beat Carniny and Institute.
