Colts shock title chasing Courts

The semi-final of the Supplementary Cup saw Greysteel Reserves overcome Dungiven Thirds by a solitary goal from Gregory Doherty.

In the City Cup, Burnfoot and Drummond game was off due to the pitch but the rest went ahead including two all Premier clashes.

Maghera Strollers won by the odd goal in five against Burndennett. Two goals from Marty Houston weren’t enough for the Burn as Mark O’Donnell headed home twice and Ciaran McEldowney Maghera’s other.

A Marty Woods inspired Roe Rovers defeated Dungiven Reserves 5-1 thanks to a Billy Doran hat-trick, Chris McInnes and a long range effort from Matty Hamilton. Conor O’Kane for Dungiven.

Ballykelly defeated a spirited Glendermott 5-3. Glens goals came courtesy of Karl Abbott (2) and Jordan Abbott. BK had Ryan Twist (2), Breffni King, Gary Brady and Tony Clyde on target.

In the First Division, Caw suffered a surprise defeat to Claudy Rovers, losing 3-2. Kyle Armstrong and Paul McColgan for Caw. Aaron Kerrigan twice and Blaine Carlin for Rovers.

Ardmore won 3-2 at Claudy United. Colin McSparron with two for Claudy and Carl O’Kane, Johnny Ward and Dee Magee for the visitors. Tullyally Colts won 1-0 at improving Foyle Wanderers thanks to a Richard Kayne goal.

In the Second Division, Limavady Rugby Reserves were the top scorers of the day as they won 6-1 against Artigarvan who scored through Richard Kee but Gary Millar bagged five and John Stewart the other for Rugby.

In the top of the table clash leaders Churchill lost 2-1 to Irish Street. Johnny Wilson and Paul Allen for Irish and an own goal for Churchill. Donemana Reserves won 2-0 at home to Douglas Bridge.
