Comfortable league win

THE Village Reserves followed on from their win against Cookstown Olympic with a convincing win against Bourneview in the league.

The Village opened the scoring early on when Keith McVitty side footed home from a pinpoint Scott Bradman cross from the left hand side.

The lead was then doubled when Bradman found himself in space 25 yards out and unleashed a thunderous left foot shot which went in off the post and left the keeper with no chance.

Seapatrick then nicked another when Nigel Watt dispossessed the defender, laid the ball off to Craig Campbell who threaded Mucker McGrath through who placed the ball into the bottom corner to make it 3-0 and give the Village a comfortable half time lead.

Paul McGrath kept the score at 3-0 early on in the second half with a great save with his left foot when the Bourneview centre forward found himself one on one.

Nigel Watt went down the other end and wrapped up the three points and a 4-0 victory when he rounded the keeper to grab his first goal of the season.

The Reserves will hope to keep up their good run of form when they travel to Lurgan Town next week, in the O’Hara Cup.
