Courts old boys to make come back

NORTH West Junior side Lincoln Courts start their 25th Anniversary celebrations this week.

The Premier Division out-fit will begin their celebrations on Thursday night in Caw.

A Lincoln Courts Legend side, which will feature players who have played for the club during their 25 years, against the current Courts squad (KO 7pm).

Then on Friday evening, the club will be having a special anniversary dinner dance at Glendermott Cricket Club, starting at 8pm.

Tickets are priced at £10 and they can be purchased by contacting Darren Burnett on (0751) 896 7218.

While the Terry O’Neill Cup, which has reached the quarter-final stage, continues tomorrow (Wednesday) night.

Seven Towers face Glen Rovers tomorrow evening and Claudy face Burnfoot on Thursday night. Both games kick-off at 7.15pm.

With last year’s winnner Aghanloo United knocked out in the first round by Newbuildings, this year’s competition, which is in it’s 25th year, is wide open.

In fact after the first round games Seven Towers have emerged as the favourites as they impressively scored nine goals against Lincoln Courts in their opening game.

Meanwhile Newbuildings United FC would like to thank the community for their kind donates recently, which saw the club raise £795 in a street collect.
