Cully pays tribute to hard-working manager as Haughey steps down from role

Mr Cully said Haughey was a “hard-working club man” and thanked him for his efforts during his tenure, which lasted for just over a season.

“Ronnie had been in touch with me to say that he felt that he could no longer commit due to his work situation, and for that we have to respect his honesty,” said Mr Cully.

“We were very lucky to have a manager like Ronnie who was willing to dedicate so much time to the role and so to lose him is a massive blow for Banbridge Town FC.

“He has been a loyal servant to the club and I would like to put on record my thanks to Ronnie for everything he did for us, for his committment, time, honesty and dedication over they years.”

Mr Cully added, “As a club we need to take a step back and look at the situation as a whole before deciding where we go from here. We have to make the right appointment for Banbridge Town.

“We won’t rush into an appointment but we will get the best man available to us.”
