Danny’s the boy for Bogey

Ballybogey travelled to play Ballycastle on Saturday morning and came away with a hard fought 5-2 victory.

It was a game with plenty of incidents but a very good game for the spectators.

Castle went one up with a very well worked goal and Bogey hit back with a fine equaliser through Alan McConaghie to level.

Bogey lost their goalkeeper to a injury and Ballycastle were reduced to ten men when centre back recieved a second yellow card.

This helped Bogey and they soon scored two goals through Danny McLernon and Richard Moore. Ballycastle were given hope when they pulled one back but it didn’t help when they were reduced to nine men when the midfielder was shown a red for late tackle on the Bogey full back.

Bogey soon took advantage with Alan McConaghie scoring a great solo effort and Jamie Connor latching on to another fine cross from Danny McLernon who had a great day being involved in all Bogey’s five goals.

This week Bogey travel to St Pauls from West Belfast in the Co Antrim Junior Shield.
