The Mid-Ulster FA showpiece was postponed on Boxing Day due to a waterlogged pitch at Lakeview Park which referee Killian Kerr considered a risk to player safety.

Officials held the first meeting of 2016 last week and the issue was discussed on the night but without a final decision.

Easter Monday remains one option to maximise a holiday crowd for the game between Loughgall and Armagh City.

However, Mid-Ulster FA sources have confirmed the delay is due to a desire to “explore all options and find the most suitable date for all concerned”.
