Deery re-signs

DERRY City skipper Kevin Deery has re-signed for his home town club.

The midfielder has signed a two year deal with the Candy Stripes and will also have a testimonial in 2013 as he will be 10 years at the club.

Manager Declan Devine is thrilled to have added another experienced member to his playing staff.

“I’m over the moon that Kevin has re-signed for us,” insisted Devine.

“He’s one of the best midfielders in Ireland and to have him at the Brandywell for another two season’s is great. He will be playing alongside another two great midfielders in Ruaidhri Higgins and Barry Molloy, so to have three of the best midfielders in the country back at the club, is fantastic.”

The City boss also confirmed that more additions to the squad could happen in the next few days.
