Defeat for U11s

ON Saturday morning Rathfriland Colts took on Barcroft in the league.

The Colts started brightly and put some early pressure on Barcroft.

However, Barcroft broke on the counter attack and took the lead.

The Colts responded quickly when Kaia Lynch forced the ball home but the Colts were only on level terms briefly before Barcroft scored again.

Barcroft were making all the running and the Colts were under pressure defending numerous corners.

This ultimately paid off for Barcroft and they scored two more before halftime. In the second half Rathfriland Colts defended resolutely and started to put Barcroft under pressure with quick counter attacks.

The game was over when the Colts gave away a penalty and Barcroft ran out 5 - 1 winners.
