Dennison nets hat-trick for dominant U15s

Town U15s beat Rathfriland 4-0 in the Mid Ulster Youth League on Saturday, largely thanks to a Jake Dennison hat-trick.

Caleb Sheiss also found the net for the visitors. With only three minutes gone, midfield maestro Frank McCartan found Dennison whose spectacular volley flew into the top corner. The Juniors were given a bit of defending to do, however their back-line were organised and rock solid. Keeper Conor Ward was tested from a free kick, but with a flying strong arm save, he was in no mood to get beaten.

Rathfriland were undone again when captain Owen Byrne found Dennison with a killer pass. He rounded the keeper and slotted into the net to double the lead. Rathfriland kept fighting but the Juniors soon added a third after a goalmouth scramble as Caleb Schiess slotted home. A fourth goal followed when Banbridge were awarded a penalty which Dennison converted to complete his hat-trick. This week’s MOTM was Michael Rafferty for a dominant display.
