Tommy Kincaid’s resignation was accepted last week and since then, the club have received a number of applications for the job.

“We’re happy enough with the level of interest,” said club secretary Colin Hopkins.

“We’re still processing applications and then we’ll draw up a shortlist but we’re hoping to have somebody in place next week.

“The idea is to have a new manager for our next game at home to Dergview on Saturday 7th November.

“It’s a difficult sell because we’re a Championship One club with limited resources and with the way things have been going this season, it’s a tough job to ask someone to come in and turn it around.

“We’ll be taking this game by game though with short and long term objectives to look at.”

Among the names linked with the role are Northern Ireland U18s Schoolboys Joint Managers Conor Marlin and Frankie Wilson. Marlin is the former Glentoran Academy Director while Wilson managed Bangor.
