Kee was also fuming following their 5-1 defeat at Cliftonville last weekend and because of that he has stated that there could be up to at least five changes to his side.

“We will see at training this week, but we’ll definitely be making at least four changes, maybe five,” insisted the Stute boss.

“I feel that some players are ducking and diving at the minute and that’s really disappointing. If they stood up and said ‘listen that was my responsibility’ and I’m disappointed with that, because we have protected them, so that just says about the character in the team.

“It’s going to be an interesting next five or six days because some people are going to be disappointed.”

The Waterside men currently sit five points adrift of second from bottom Warrenpoint and Kee believes only a win this weekend will ensure they have any hope of keeping their Danske Bank Premiership status for next season.

“If I’m being honest we have to try and win our next two games,” he stated.

“If we don’t then it’s going to be difficult, but we needed to get points out of our last three games and while it was always going to be difficult against Crusaders, Linfield and Cliftonville so that was always going to be a difficult ask, so the fact that we didn’t get any points means this weekend’s game against Warrenpoint is a cup final.

“I know it’s a cliché but we have to treat it as a one off game and take it as we find it.

“I would say it will be physical, it will be end to end, it will be direct and Warrenpoint will be very mindful that a draw would be a significant result for them.

“In fact our next five games are five cup finals as April is a big month for us and the players have to go with that attitude and try to get as many points as we can and see where that takes us.”

Because the Drumahoe side really have to go all out for the three points that may help them.

“Yes it could be pressure that we could be doing without, but if you were a betting man you would have taken it at the start of the season,” he added.

“The club from day one has always wanted to remain amateur and I can understand that and I can still understand it to this day, but there has been consequences for that, for example players that have left we haven’t got them
replaced.

“However it has been good for the players that have stayed because they have had to develop their careers, some of them are developing nicely, maybe not at the rate that we would like, because obviously we are bottom of the
table.

“But we have all learned from experience and that will stand some of the players in good stead for their future careers, either here at Institute or be it elsewhere.”
