Double ‘derby’ delight for Carniny Youth teams

IT was a Saturday to remember for Carniny Youth’s Under 14s as they came away with local bragging rights after their 2-0 victory over Ballymena United YA courtesy of a Doherty double at the Showgrounds.

The Under 15s also enjoyed a comfortable win in another local derby when they ran out 6-1 winners over Ballymoney Utd YA, helped along with four goals from Shevlin.

The Under 13s battled out a 1-1 draw with St Oliver Plunketts in the ‘premier’ division of the National League and the 12s put five goals past Castle Juniors to go top of their league whilst the 11s suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Oxford Sunnyside in the Lisburn Shield with both the Under 9s and 10s beaten in the North West.
