Dummigan nets four past Kilroot

Former Kilroot man Andrew Dummigan scored four as Rec slipped to another defeat in Division 1C, losing 6-0 to Shorts.

Five of the goals came in the second-half and there was little between the teams in the opening 45 minutes.

“Shorts scored with literally the last kick of the half,” said Rec boss, Alan Craig. “Then after the break, we had to make three changes. After that, we couldn’t really get back to the way we were playing and it all fell apart from there!”

A defensive error led to Shorts’ a second, while David Brennan appeared to have been fouled before the third - a Dummigan penalty. He reminded his old team of his prowess with three further goals as Shorts finished with six.
