Dundee trials for boys

It has been an exceptionally positive week for Lisburn Distillery FC’s Academy with the news that defender Daniel Wilson and goalkeeper Reece Kane have been invited over to Dundee United FC for a week of trials from February 24.

This is great news for both boys especially for Daniel who has already been called up to captain the NI Under 18 squad earlier this month.

The club were also able to announce details this week of forthcoming trips for the boys of the clubs ever expanding academy.

The Academy’s Under 15 & Under 16s teams will be on their way to Scotland in early April as guests of top Scottish Premier league club Dundee Utd. As well as matches which have been arranged for the ‘Wee Whites’ to showcase their talents, the Tannadice club have also arranged for the Lisburn Distillery players and staff to take in their Scottish Premier league game vs Celtic. The club are in the process of setting up an exciting link with Dundee Utd which will hopefully benefit both clubs in terms of youth development moving forward and more news will follow before the end of the season.

Meanwhile the young Whites Under 10s, 12s, 13s and 14s will be heading off for a residential weekend in Dublin as guests of Mount Merrion Youths over May 17 & 18 whilst the Mini-Soccer’s Under 8s and Under 9s team will head down for the Saturday only.
