Duo bow out of Irish Junior Cup

In the Premier division BBOB lost heavily at home to Claudy Rovers while Greysteel and Roe Rovers shared the points. Newbuildings Reserves had an excellent win over Second Division leaders Caw while Donemana kept their title hopes alive with a home win over Churchill.

There is a full programme in all three divisions this week while Sion Swifts entertain Ardmore in the Matt Morrison Junior Cup.

Lincoln Courts v Newtowne

Undoubtedly the game of the day, the Courts know that anything other than a win would almost hand the title to their opponents. They know that a win would open things up as they have to play their opponents again.

Newtowne are a top class side who don't know what defeat means, a big home support is guaranteed with a draw the likely outcome.

BBOB v Maghera Strollers

The visitors have hit top form in recent games although they have left it too late to make a serious challenge for the title; they are playing with confidence and they will want to keep their good run going.

The Old Boys go from bad to worse as their hammering by Claudy last Saturday showed, another defeat looks likely.

Roe Rovers v Claudy Rovers

The Roesiders picked up a point last week but they must transfer these draws into victories: they are still not quite out of the woods as far as relegation goes but another couple of wins would ease that.

Claudy showed a bit of form in last week's win but can they build on that, their forwards were in good form hitting five so a repeat would do nicely.

Drummond v Greysteel

Both these sides have had up and down seasons, the home side when at full strength can be a match for any side in the division, but they are inconsistent.

Greysteel like their opponents can be good one day and poor on another day with both sides blowing hot and cold a draw looks the most likely outcome.
