Eddie homes in on Irish Cup draw

ALL that Ballyclare Comrades manager Eddie Hill wants for Christmas is a home draw in the Irish Cup!

After defeating Portstewart 3-2 in round four on Saturday, the Reds join the big boys from the Premier League in the hat for Thursday’s draw, but Hill doesn’t care who he is paired with as long as it is at Dixon Park.

“Yes, it would be wonderful to get a money-spinning tie against one of the big clubs,” he said. “However, we have to accept what comes out of the hat, but we made heavy weather of getting to round five when we had to come from behind to see off Portstewart.”
