Elebert frustrated after draw

Derry City’s David Elebert was happy he got 90 minutes under his belt but admitted he was frustrated with the score-less draw with Limerick.

The centre-back, along with Raymond Foy, got his first start of the campaign alongside Cliff Byrne at the heart of the City defence.

Neither side created much at a sun soaked Brandywell in the first half, in fact the best chance of the match came on 80 minutes when Patrick McEleney’s cross found fellow sub Ryan Curran, but his header was saved by Limerick keeper Barry Ryan.

While at the death Shane Tracy’s long range free-kick, which had Gerard Doherty scrambling, whistled just over the bar.
