Exciting week for Londonderry sides at Milk Cup

COUNTY Londonderry are once again looking forward to what promises to be an exciting week of football on the North Coast.

Derry open the tournament with the Junior squad facing regulars Brentford at Scroggy Road, Limavady. Kick off at the new Limavady venue is 5.30pm. The Derry Junior side are once again led by Ollie Mullan.

The Premier side who are managed by Gary Faulkner have a tough opening fixture as well as they play host to the returning CSKA Moscow. That fixture is at the Coleraine Showgrounds and has a kick off time of 7pm.

The two sides will then make their way up to their base on the North Coast and take part in the traditional parade through the streets of Coleraine and eventually leading to the Coleraine Showgrounds where the flag is unfurled by guest Everton manager David Moyes.

Both of the sides are straight back into action on Monday morning. In one of the first games of the day, Ollie Mullan will lead his side against Sout Coast Strikers. The American side are regular visitors to the North Coast and are always admired for their determination and skilful play. Anderson Park plays host to this fixture and kick off time is noon.

Later on that afternoon, the Premier side return to action with a tricky fixture against Japanese newcomers Ichifuna at Scroggy Road, Limavady. Kick off is 5pm.

In the last of their three qualifying games on Tuesday, the Riada Stadium will play host to a inter county double header. Derry face County Fermanagh at both Junior and Premier age groups. Kick off for the Junior tie is 1.30pm and the Premier fixture concludes the qualifying campaign at 3.30pm.
