It was the Ballymena boys’ final match together at their age group, before the club links up with Ballymena United where it is hoped some of the boys will continue their footballing careers.

Waveney came back from two goals down at half time to win the cup 3-2 in a dramatic match against Bertie Peacocks at the Coleraine Showgrounds, thanks to a Camryn Millar double.

Played in front of a large crowd both teams struggled to settle early on.

Berties went ahead when a shot from distance took a deflection and gave Jordan Barrow in the Waveney goal no chance. Berties doubled their lead from a corner when their player was quickest to react to a scramble in the box to head home.

Roared on by a large and noisy travelling support Waveney started the second half a lot better and pulled a goal back when Robbie Perkins was fouled in the box and Nico Dunlop converted the penalty.

Waveney equalised when Camryn Millar was put through on goal by Micheal Kernohan and he coolly slotted home.

Nico Dunlop curled a free-kick just past the post before David Watt lobbed the ball over the Berties defence for Camryn Millar to run onto and head past the advancing Berties goal keeper to give Waveney the lead.

In the dying seconds Berties almost equalised but some excellent goal keeping by Travis McWilliams kept them out, to leave the final score 3-2.

Waveney would like to thank everyone who travelled down to Coleraine to support them.
