“One of our key aims is to provide, or assisst with the provision of facilities for people who have need of such facilities by reason of youth, age, infirmity, disability , poverty, social or economic circumstance with the object of improving the conditions of life for those people,” he said.

“We are submitting a planning application to develop the back area of The Showgrounds. The Academy had always planned to do that, but when Harry came along it added that wee bit more profile to it.

“Doors have been open for us since the launch that just wouldn’t have been possible in the past and that is all down to the high regard Harry is held in.

“The profile of the launch night showed that. It was just on a different level.

“We reached a level before this where we were probably at our maximum, but this is a fantastic opportunity to develop facililities and resources which will benefit the community as a whole.

“If you take the template of any of the big football foundations I think we have the potential to match any they do.

“We benchmarked ourselves against them and saw what we can achieve.

“We know we can do more and we want to involve all the local clubs as we’ll all benefit from it.”

Andy is urging the public to get behind the Foundation and help those dreams become a reality.

“We need the foundation to start working now, and for that to happen we need people to start to support the foundation,” he said.

“We said on the launch night the foundation was for two things - to leave a legacy for Harry and to get the community involved.

“For this to happen people need to support the foundation.

“With our experience in delivering sporting and community programmes we can see there is so much more to be achieved. To do that we need your vital support.

“As Harry said it is about inspiring those who have dreams.”
