First cause an upset

First Lisburn caused a surprise in Division 1 of the South Antrim League when they beat newly promoted, Ballymacash Rangers III 2-1.

Jackie Nathan, James McDonagh and Thomas Pollock were on the scoresheet for Taughmonagh YM II but it did not prevent them losing 4-3 to Bloomfield III.

Cregagh Wanderers had an amazing 15-1 win over Belvoir FC II and the Orangefield OB III v Warren YM II game was postponed

There were goal galore in Division 2 - 29 in four matches - and in one of these games nine-man Glenavy III drew 1-1, thanks to a Stan Moore equaliser with Lambeg Rangers II.

Top of the scoring charts was a 6-4 win for Ballymacash YM III over Victoria Athletic. Colin Mack 3, Kyle Morrison 2 and an own goal made up ‘Cash’s six and Phil McCann 2, Ryan Craig and Davy McCann replied.

Newtown Forest III drew 4-4 with new boys, Harmony Hill, Marty Lamont 2, Callum McNabb and Phil McLoughlin for Forest and Jason Young, Aaron Young, Peter Matthews and an own goal for Harmony. Forest were 3-0 up at one stage.

South Antrim II pipped Moira Albion II 5-4 in the other game.
