First United dinner of season proves big success

Ballymena United held the first of its popular corporate lunches on Saturday, prior to the ‘derby’ game against Coleraine.

Master of Ceremonies paid special tribute to the club’s long-term sponsor Norman McBurney, congratulating him on receiving the MBE since the last dinner and thanking him for his 25-year backing of the club.

Top table guests included former United and Portadown defender Alfie Stewart and Ballymena councillors Sam Hanna and John Carson.
