Striker Raymond Fitzpatrick scored the winner from the penalty spot near the end to create club history and assure the Lurgan side at least £10,000 in prizemoney for reaching the last four.

The Hoops held a 2-0 lead thanks to goals by former Ports players Aaron Haire and Shea Conaty before ten man Portadown hit back to level at 2-2.

But Fitzpatrick kept his nerve to seal a massive shock in this local derby and the Hoops were through.
