For while the Cookstown outfit occupies a place near the bottom of the league, Banbridge manager Ryan Watson says any side in the league can cause an upset.

Looking ahead to Saturday’s game Ryan said: “They’re around the bottom position in the league but you don’t read anything into that at all because on any given day any team in this league can take points off each other, as we seen a few weeks ago with Lurgan Celtic.

“They were a team around the bottom reaches of the league and they gave us a very tough game at home.”

The Banbridge chief went on to say: “We will be preparing this week as normal and we’ll not be taking anything for granted.

“Away from home to Killymoon is always a tough game for any club so we’ll need to be on top of our game to get anything out of it.”

Biggest injury concern for Watson, with the team having a weekend off as a result of the Intermediate Cup ties being played, is midfielder Stephen Jones.

He has been unavailable throughout November.

Ryan said: “Stephen has done really well for us this year and is due back with us in December. That’s football, someone else comes into the team and gets their opportunity and we’ve done that so far and that’s just where we are.”

The Town are fifth in the league and will, of course, be hoping to improve on that.

Ryan said: “We’ve done well to get where we are at the moment, we’re up round the top six and we hope to keep grinding out the results and see where we end up. It’s very competitive.”
