FOOTBALL: Ballyclare lose to out Knockbreda

Johnny McClurg put the Comrades in front as early as the fifth minute at Dixon Park when he headed home from a Michael O’Hanlon corner.

But the visitors levelled matters with 16 minutes on the clock when Jordan Hughes scored from the spot.

Knockbreda were then reduced to 10 men after Matthew Johnston saw red with 20 minutes gone.

Shortly before the break, it was 10-a-side as Ballyclare’s Sandy McDermott picked up his second caution of the afternoon.

In the second session ‘Breda edged ahead with their second penalty and Raymond Bell’s side made sure of the three points eight minutes from time when Dylan Wilson netted a third.
