Eager to boost their squad ahead of the final months of the season Coagh United have dipped into the transfer market to sign Yardley player Daniel Tysoe.

Previously playing in the North Bucks League for Yardley Gobion FC in Northamptonshire, the centre half will come straight into the squad for the Intermediate Cup match away to Lurgan Celtic.

Joining Tysoe in the squad will be former Coleraine duo, Craig Moore and Joel Bradley who have also joined.

Also added to the Hagan Park men’s squad will be Mark Drennan and Mark Stewart from Tobermore United while Jamie Kilpatrick comes in from Cookstown Youth.

The club have also added Kyle Hassan to their coaching staff Kyle, who had eleven very successful seasons between the sticks at Coagh, will use his wealth of experience in looking after the goalkeepers at the club.

Last Saturday saw both teams stripped out and ready to go after Lurgan Celtic’s team had manually spiked the pitch, but the heavy rain that came just before kick-off gave the Referee little option but to call the match off after the waterlogged pitch became unplayable.

Coagh will again travel without the suspended Scott McGeown and new signing Stuart Glasgow who is cup tied. Kick off for Saturday’s match is 1.30pm. Coagh Reserves will be hoping to get back on the road this week with an away fixture to Rathfriland. Last week the weather caused the home fixture against Annagh United to be postponed.

Coagh’s fixtures for February are: Saturday 1st February, away to Lurgan Celtic, 1.30pm; Saturday 8th, away to Dundela, 3pm: Saturday 15th TBC; Saturday 22nd, home to Knockbreda, 3pm.
