FOOTBALL: Carnmoney win to consolidate stay in league

There was a resounding win for Carnmoney Football Development Centre in their match away to Ballymena on Saturday in the National League Under 14 A section.

The boys from Carnmoney travelled to Ballymena Showgounds for their return fixture, having narrowly beaten the Sky Blues in their home match.

The game came to life in the second half with six goals scored.

Ballymena took the lead, before strikes from Scott Wilson and Craig Elliott put the Newtownabbey side 2-1 up.

The home side equalised before further goals from Wilson and Elliott saw the game finish 4-2 to Carnmoney.

The win secures their place in National league A.
