He now plans to complete the IFA Level One Coaching Award.

The shot-stopper made the headlines last season while on the books at Nortel.

After some exceptional displays in goal for Nortel II, Jason progressed to make a few appearances for the first-team.

It was at the Amateur League outfit that he came to the attention of a number of Irish League clubs, including Crusaders and Ballymena United.

The six-foot teen was also monitored by scouts from Manchester United on a number of occasions last season.

Earlier this year, his coach at Nortel, Jonty Watson, told the Times: ““I think this young lad is rather exceptional.”

“He is a brilliant shot-stopper; week after week he pulls off stunning saves and it’s had opposing players and officials commenting on his displays.

“He commands his area well and communicates with his defenders very well for a lad so young.”
