Brown in the home goal was tested early on having to deal with two early chances for the visitors before Dunn hit the bar for Killymoon from 40 yards and Moore’s follow up went over the bar.

Moore tried his luck again just short of 30 yards but it was easy for the visiting keeper who clutched the ball into his chest.

Killymoon had the ball in the back of the net soon after. Mulligan saw his shot fumbled by the visiting keeper and Dunn was on hand to follow up.

However, the referee blew for offside although there weren’t many complaints from the visitors.

A cross from the Sky Blues right found the striker but he wasn’t able to capitalise and it came to nothing.

Killymoon eventually took a deserved lead when McMullen got on the end of a corner to head the ball home.

Killymoon’s inability to hold onto a lead has been all too constant this season and that would come back to haunt them soon after.

A ball from the right hand side was flighted into the far post and was headed across the goal, the striker was on hand to tap the ball home.

The visitors took the lead near the break when the home defence failed to deal with the corner and the ball was eventually bundled home.

Killymoon had it all to do in the second half as the left winger scored an absolute screamer past a helpless Brown to give Magherafelt a 3-1 lead.

The second half was a scrappier affair with neither team able to get on top. Killymoon huffed and puffed and their pressure was eventually rewarded.

Dunn received the ball on the edge of the box and unleashed a curler from the edge of the box into the top corner.

The last few minutes Killymoon upped the pressure and with four minutes of added time on the clock Brown came up for the corner to add some extra height.

However the visitors where able to counter-attack and with no keeper the striker made no mistake to kill the tie off.
