FOOTBALL: Oran lends his support to Gis a Hug Foundation

PRIOR to Saturday’s league game at Linfield, Coleraine manager Oran Kearney met with the parents of Neil McFerran and Aaron Davidson, who tragically lost their lives, as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning in Castlerock last year.

The Bannsiders boss was only too happy to lend his support to the Gis a Hug Foundation, a charity set up in memory of the two teenagers by their families to raise awareness of the dangers of Carbon Monoxide.

“Living and working as I do on the North coast, this tragedy deeply affected virtually everyone I know,” said Oran.

“I hope and trust that everyone has since acquired a carbon monoxide alarm to ensure that no other family has to endure the torture that the McFerran and Davidson families must have endured in the past six months.”
