FOOTBALL: Wade stands down as Coleraine Chairman

Hugh Wade has stood down as chairman of Coleraine to focus on his work at the Irish Football Association.

Wade is the current Irish Premiership chairman and also Coleraine’s representative at the association.

Wade will be vice-chairman at Coleraine while existing board member Colin McKendry becomes the new chairman.

Meanwhile, Coleraine have announced they will host Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock in a pre-season friendly on 9 July.

The match is likely to be the first friendly of the summer and comes a week before Coleraine travel to Scotland to participate in the Stena Cup in Stranraer.

Kilmarnock are currently managed by former Coleraine boss Kenny Shiels who is father-in-law of current Bannsiders manager Oran Kearney.
