Geoff Cooke-s up a Sports Bond major double

FOR the third week in a row, a Sports Bond agent has achieved a unique double £50 major success.

First it was Luke Gaston, then Boyd Douglas and now it is Geoff Cooke, whose agency is in the Ballykeel area.

Geoff’s major double success this week were Glenn Taylor (B3844) and Elaine Young (B8854).

The other major winners were unique also this week, both belonged to people who run their own agency.

Carol Nicholl (A7877) had her second win on Sports Bond and runs the Gracehill and Galgorm Senior Citizens agency and was a 100 Jackpot winner last June.

Alastair Shaw (A2083) runs a friends and family agency and this week he won 50 on his own agency.

In the minor 10 section no less than 3 Belfast agents had winners. Davy Creighton had a 10 winner with Andy Henry (B8369). Davy also had a 15 consolation win with Stephen Creighton (B7877), his son.

Ken’s News had a 10 win with H Hinds (A0474) and O’Neills had a 310 win with Laurence Shaw (B2008).

The only 10 winner outside Belfast belonged to the agency of Colin Graham who had a 10 win with Karen Owens (A0920).

In the 15 consolation section Russell Kane (B2083) became a fourth time winner on Sports Bond. Nigel Tweed (A3844) was a 15 winner on the agency at the Diamond Bar. The family and friends agency of Diane Harcourt had a 15 win with Laura Kerr (A8854).

Very high Jackpot numbers of 17, 22, 23, 24 ensured no Jackpot was won. Only this week’s Jackpot of 950 remains to be won before the Jackpot must be won at 1000.

Sports Bond would like to offer sympathy to the Armstrong family of Broughshane on the sudden death of Des Armstrong. Former councillor Des, who had given many fine years of service to the community and borough, died suddenly last week. A long time member of Sports Bond he was both a member and a close friend to his agent Boyd Douglas.

His son Andy, a keen bowler and united supporter is also a member on Ann Hume’s agency. Brother Norman, a member also, is well known as a United sponsor. Nephew John is also a Sports bond agent in Cloughmills.

Congratulations to Sports Bond member and fitness trainer Gregory Walsh who is back to the racing fold and won a race at Roe Valley on Saturday in tricky underfoot conditions.
