Girls’ festival of football comes to Moneyslane’s Jubilee Park

The Irish IFA Festival for Girls came to Jubilee Park last Saturday morning.

Moneyslane Football Club would like to thank everyone for coming as the club’s home was the place to be as the IFA brought their road show to the home of the blue and white army.

With over 35 girls who came along to join in with the fun and games while learning lots of tips they can now carry on for the rest of their days into the game

There was also face painting, bouncy castles and an outdoor disco for all the kids and they families who had lots of fun throughout the day.

Moneyslane would like to thank Jackie Blyth and her entire team for selecting Moneyslane Ladies to host such an event and are looking forward to continuing the special bond between the two parties.

Special thanks also go to the football club’s very own masterchef and club chairman, Brian Ervine, for providing everyone with hot food that went down a treat with everyone whom attended on the day

As part of the FIFA Women’s Football Development Programme, the festival day was aimed at increasing the number of girls that play football in Moneyslane and surrounding areas in County Down, in addition to helping raise the profile of the sport.

The festival day was run from 10.30am–2.30pm and it involved skills drills, small-sided games, inflatable’s, competitions and music

The club also would like to thank the all of the club members who helped out on the day to make it such a huge success.
